Nicolas Kargayan is a self-taught painter,born near Paris in 1962. He loves the city's older neighborhoods and the Seine river with it's bridges and barges.
Today his work in oil and watercolor painting offer a poetic vision of Paris.
Being very concerned with quality he prepares his own canvases, which most often are portrait grade fabric that offer a pleasant, light texture.
Having a partiality for small formats and a limited palette of colors, he depicts with talent lesser known areas of Paris
